We are currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Out-of-School Club Manager to join our team in Newport, leading and creating a safe, exciting, and nurturing environment for children aged 4-12! 🌟 The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a passion for working with children, and a commitment to maintaining high standards in care and education.
Responsibilities include:
Managing the Out-of-School Care program, ensuring it’s running smoothly and to full capacity.Providing a safe, stimulating environment that promotes learning and development.
Supervising staff and ensuring effective team operations.
Developing and maintaining positive relationships with parents and carers — good communication is key!
Ensuring compliance with safety, child protection regulations, and all policies and procedures.
Conducting regular risk assessments, reporting risks, and maintaining health and safety standards.
Participating in outings and activities during holiday clubs.
Taking and collecting children from local primary schools (in nursery vehicles)
Supporting the main nursery location during drop-off times when needed
Must have:
Availability to work full time: 40 hours per week between 7:30 am - 6:00 pm on weekdays.
Experience working with 4–12-year-olds.Strong understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality.
Ability to lead and motivate a team.
Understanding of the importance of following and abiding by policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Childcare Level 3 or above.
Paediatric First Aid (preferred).
Child Protection (preferred).
Food Hygiene (preferred).
Desirable:
Full clean driving licence with at least 2 years of experience.
Confidence in driving nursery vehicles.
Playwork Level 2 or 3.
DBS on the update service.
